Quick, overlapping fountain pen markings trace the curves of the bust and the gentle outward taper of the hips, using subtle variations in line weight to give the form an unedited, studio-sketch presence.
The chosen scheme pairs traditional medium layering with soft, transparent tones. A wide halo of neutral grey watercolour wash builds up directly behind the silhouette to create a soft, framing negative space, while a highly diluted crimson wash tracks the left flank and pools along the lower curves, leaving the central chest and midsection open to highlight the texture of the surface.
