The chosen colourway relies on the water-soluble properties of coloured fountain pen inks, dressing both upper forms in dense carbon-grey washes that pool into deep shadows. Below the cinched waistlines, the skirts divide into individual pigment studies, blending fluid teal ink on the left against a vibrant rose pink ink on the right, all subtly anchored by soft, watercolour flesh tones on the limbs and profiles.
