Dual Sartorial Silhouette in Emerald and Purple Ink

£24.00

Presented as a side-by-side pairing, this original wash and ink piece examines garment geometry through two distinct, front-facing silhouettes. Loose, layered fountain pen markings trace the vertical drop of the dresses and high, gathered topknot hairstyles, where changing nib pressure registers a fresh, studio-sketch boundary that establishes a clear design-led focus.

The palette relies on a multi-tonal, segmented division of hue, breaking the two forms into individual colour studies. The left figure coordinates a muted graphite top with a structural, emerald green skirt wash, while the right silhouette isolates a single continuous column of rich purple ink layered with softer violet undertones that pool around the lower hemline.

Visually focused and structural in layout, the work highlights the deliberate bleeding where moist pigments migrate across the underlying contouring. By placing these twin, contrasting jewel tones against wide fields of the textured background, this original creation presents an honest gallery study of tailoring variety, colour blocking, and natural posture.
